Computer Age

I grew up in the computer age.IRemember when we still had Dial-up. Anyone remember those days? You would have to wait for what seemed like forever to go on the Internet. You'd hear the dial tone the entire time, it was so annoying I would sometimes leave the room. It's a sound you easily recognize, very...oh whats the word, easy to remember. Like Lady Ga Ga songs, annoying but you remember the words to "Just Dance" better than your favorite song.

Anyhow, A friend of mine needed their spirit lifted so I decided to try writing letters. My printing is HORRIBLE! I can type an essay in about 20 minutes, maybe 500-1,000 words, or so, if I know something about the subject. But this whole writing letters is HARD! My hand hurts afterwords (HAHAHA). But I love it. The last letter I wrote, about a week ago (it takes a whole four days to get there!), I wrote four whole pages, front and back! I was so proud of myself. I don't think I write that much in a week!

The point of this is that most of us Americans have a computer and most of those people who have a computer have the Internet. Most of the people who have Internet also have an e-mail. With e-mail we can be able to write...err....type, really fast and get a lot said in ten minutes, send the e-mail and then the other person gets it within a few minutes. But I think it's more sincere to write by hand, besides, who doesn't want a letter? We get WAY to much spam ( see I'm still thinking e-mail!) mail, and not enough caring or funny letters from friends.

Have any of you hear of Professional Blogging? I am thinking of trying it. And then adding adds so maybe I can make money, who knows.

I am going to go do more writing on a story of mine so I will let my faithful followers get back to what ever it was they were doing. :)

  1. Hmmm...didn't know that sound irritated you. I kind of liked the sound. But, waiting for the computer was only annoying until after I had experienced high-speed internet. I didn't know any different!
